LEGAL
Randy Andrews is a nationwide comedy hypnotist, comedy mentalist, and keynote speaker delivering clean, high-energy entertainment for corporate events, colleges and universities, and high schools across the country. These terms explain how booking works, what each side is responsible for, and what happens if plans change — in plain English, before you ever sign anything.
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 · Last Updated: August 15, 2026
PLAIN ENGLISH
Booking entertainment shouldn't feel like reading fine print with a flashlight. Here is the entire agreement in four short answers. The full detail follows below.
A signed performance agreement and a deposit reserve your date. Until both are in, the date stays open to other clients — no exceptions, no hard feelings.
A customized show, built for your audience, delivered by the performer you booked. Your written quote states exactly what's included.
Postponements are protected — your deposit moves with your event within One Calendar Year. Full cancellation terms are spelled out below and in your agreement.
A performance space, sound, and access to set up. The full technical rider arrives with your contract and is short on purpose.
Submitting the Check Availability form, requesting a quote, or having a conversation about your event does not reserve a date and does not create a booking. Quotes are valid for One Week from the date issued and are based on the event details you provide — date, location, audience size, and show type. If those details change, the quote may change with them.
Every booking is confirmed by a written performance agreement signed by both parties. The agreement states the show type, date, arrival and performance times, venue, fee, and any custom terms specific to your event. Your date is not held until the signed agreement and the deposit are both received.
Date, venue, or show-type changes after signing are accommodated whenever the calendar allows and are confirmed in writing as an amendment to the agreement. Audience size changes do not change your fee — the event is priced, not the head count.
A deposit is due one week after receiving the contract. The contract and deposit invoice arrive together by email. The deposit reserves your date and is applied to your total fee.
The remaining balance is due one month prior to the event date. Invoices are issued by email. Purchase orders, W-9 forms, vendor registration paperwork, and certificates of insurance are provided on request — schools and corporate accounts-payable teams should never have to chase us for documentation.
Cash, checks, EBT, and credit cards are all accepted. Late payments may be subject to the terms stated in your performance agreement.
All travel and expenses are factored into each quote. The fees are all-inclusive and, unless stated otherwise on the contract, include all necessary travel and related expenses.
Your signed performance agreement is the controlling document. This page explains our standard terms in plain language. If anything in your signed agreement differs from what's written here, the signed agreement governs. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer, a reservation, or a binding commitment until that agreement is executed by both parties.
IF PLANS CHANGE
Events move. Weather happens. Here's exactly how each scenario is handled, so nobody is guessing in a stressful week.
If your event moves to a new date, your deposit moves with it for up to one calendar year, subject to availability on the new date.
If a client cancels the event within 30 days of the event, the client is responsible for the total balance of the event. If a client cancels the event more than 30 days before the event, the client forfeits the deposit but is not liable for the remaining balance due for the event. A reserved date is a date turned away from every other client who asked for it, which is why deposits function as a date-hold rather than a prepayment.
In the rare event Randy Andrews cannot perform, we will make every reasonable effort to provide a qualified professional replacement at no additional cost to you. If no suitable replacement is available and the performance does not occur, all amounts paid are refunded in full.
Neither party is responsible for failure to perform due to circumstances outside reasonable control — including severe weather, natural disaster, flight cancellation or extended travel disruption, venue closure, power failure, public health orders, government restrictions, strikes, or acts of war or terrorism.
If such an event prevents the performance, both parties will work in good faith to reschedule to a mutually agreeable date, and amounts already paid transfer to the rescheduled event. Where travel is booked and non-refundable, documented non-recoverable travel costs remain the client's responsibility. Randy Andrews Live makes every reasonable effort to arrive ahead of weather — nationwide travel is planned with buffer, not optimism — but no performer can guarantee an airline's schedule.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Setup is deliberately simple — you should be enjoying your own event, not solving production problems. The full technical rider is delivered with your contract. These are the essentials.
The client is responsible for securing the venue, obtaining any permits or licenses the venue requires, and providing a safe performance environment. If a required element is unavailable on the day of the event, we will adapt wherever it's possible to do so without compromising the show — but conditions that materially prevent the performance do not relieve the client of the contracted fee. Anything unusual about your room or your run of show should be raised during planning, not discovered at load-in. Ask early; the answer is almost always yes.
ON STAGE
Comedy hypnosis and comedy mentalism put audience members on stage. That's the whole appeal — and it's why we're specific about how participation works.
Every on-stage participant volunteers. Nobody is selected against their wishes, nobody is required to continue, and any participant may return to their seat at any point in the show for any reason. Volunteers are the stars of the show and are treated that way from the first moment to the last.
Comedy hypnosis and comedy mentalism performances are entertainment. They are not medical treatment, psychological therapy, or clinical hypnotherapy, and no health, therapeutic, or diagnostic outcome is offered, implied, or guaranteed. Anyone with a medical condition or concern about participating should simply not volunteer.
Every show is 100% clean and appropriate, customized to your organization's standards — HR-approved for corporate audiences and school-safe for student audiences. Clients may set additional content restrictions during planning, and those restrictions are followed exactly.
The performer reserves the right to pause, modify, or end a performance if audience conduct, intoxication, venue conditions, or safety concerns make continuing inappropriate — a judgment call that has always been about protecting the audience, not the act. The client is responsible for audience conduct, security, and supervision, including chaperone coverage at student events consistent with school or district policy. Where a show cannot be completed due to conditions within the client's control, the contracted fee remains payable in full.
Performances may be photographed or recorded by Randy Andrews Live for promotional use — website, social media, sizzle reels, and media kits. By booking, the client grants permission for this capture and use unless a written restriction is agreed during planning. Clients and venues may set their own recording rules, and we follow them.
Clients are welcome to photograph and record the performance for internal, promotional, and archival use. Broadcast, streaming, commercial distribution, or resale of a full performance requires written permission in advance.
At high school and youth events, all photo and video handling follows the school's own media release policy. Full detail on footage, volunteers, and opt-outs is in our Privacy Policy.
