The Short Answer

Stage hypnosis is safe when it is run by a professional with clear standards, and those standards are built into every minute of my show. Volunteers participate by choice, stay in control the entire time, and are celebrated rather than embarrassed.

There are no stunts, no dares, and no content that would make an HR director or a high school principal uncomfortable. Not one routine.

The Golden Rule of My Stage

One sentence governs everything I do: the volunteers are the heroes, never the punchline.

Every routine is written so the audience laughs with the volunteer. When your bookkeeper steps off my stage, she should be getting high-fives on the way back to her table, not sympathy.

My Eight Safety Standards

These are not marketing lines. They are the operating rules of every show I perform, in every state, for every audience.

1. 1.Volunteers self-select. Hands go up on their own. I never pull someone from the audience and I never call out a name.
2. 2.Anyone can step out at any time. No explanation needed, no spotlight, no awkward moment.
3. 3.No stunts. Nobody stands on a chair, jumps, lifts anything, or does anything physically demanding.
4. 4.No personal information. I never ask a volunteer to reveal something private about themselves or anyone else in the room.
5. 5.Clean content, always. Every show is 100% clean. Nothing sexual, nothing crude, nothing at anyone's expense.
6. 6.Content matched to the audience. A high school assembly and a corporate awards banquet do not get the same routines.
7. 7.Full return, every time. Every volunteer is brought back gradually, fully alert, and feeling good before they leave the stage.
8. 8.I stay with them. I watch every volunteer continuously for the entire show. That is the job.

What Hypnosis Cannot Do

This is where most of the worry lives, so let me be direct about it.

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation combined with focused attention. It cannot override a person's values, their judgment, or their sense of self-preservation.

A hypnotized volunteer will not:

• •Do anything that violates their morals or their comfort level
• •Reveal a secret they would not otherwise share
• •Get stuck in the state, because that is simply not how it works
• •Lose awareness of where they are or who is in the room

Stage hypnosis is a form of guided relaxation and focused attention rather than a loss of control. Volunteers remain aware of their surroundings, cannot be made to act against their own values, and may stop participating at any moment. Physical Setup Is Part of Safety

Safety is not only about content. A lot of it is staging, and I handle that myself when I arrive so nobody on your team has to guess.
