A comedy mentalism show in front of an audience of scientists is my favorite version of this job — they're not looking for a way to be fooled, they're actively trying to catch it, and when they can't, the reaction is bigger than what any other crowd gives you. Research Triangle Park events also tend to lean toward the evening reception more than the big ballroom, which suits this show just fine.
