Reno-Tahoe is really a retreat market — companies book the lake for two or three days and want a general session that fits between a strategy block and an afternoon everybody's already planning. That means the keynote has to be substantive without being heavy, because nobody wants the tone of the trip set by a lecture. There's a genuine seasonal split here too: summer at the lake and winter on the mountain are completely different events with different logistics, and the shoulder seasons are when the rooms are actually available.
